With as many as 50 to 60 different wines going into the Brut Rose by Veuve Clicquot, this House can never be accused of playing too safely with a limited number of flavours. Structurally very similar to the Brut Yellow Label, this particular combination of excellence marries 55% Pinot Black with 20% Pinot Meunier and as much as 33% Chardonnay.
And it doesn't stop there, either. By adding to this a healthy balance of up to 35% reserve wine – from several harvests past – the end result is a stunning Champagne with a big character. Red wines are also there in the mix – as much as 12% – and the quality taste is backed up by a reassuring and attractive pink dress.
Champagne Tasting :
On the nose, this bubbly flourishes with a wild array of aromas such as raspberry and strawberry. Cherry is also there, before one is treated to notes of almond and apricot, followed delightfully by biscuit, too.
The palate is also nothing to shy away from, for the Brut pink champagne by Veuve Cliquot is both fruity and fresh, harmonious and balanced with careful consideration. All in all it makes for a gourmet wine that is youthful and one for sharing. Unless you want to keep it just for yourself, of course, and we don't think anyone could blame you...
Champagne Blending :
- 44 to 48 % pinot noir
- 13 to 18 % pinot meunier
- 25 to 29 % chardonnay
