Vintage Champagne 2008: tradition and excellence
The 2008 vintage marks an exceptional year in the history of champagne houses renowned for their heritage and rigour. For example, Gosset, founded in 1584, has for centuries prized the balance between chardonnay and pinot noir, while Bollinger, founded in 1829 in Aÿ, is renowned for its commitment to long maturation in oak barrels and a strong style centred on pinot noir. In 2008, the weather conditions gave the grapes ideal ripeness, resulting in champagnes that are taut, deep and suitable for ageing.
