Champagne Moët et Chandon, the tradition of excellence since 1743

Moët et Chandon champagne is an essential reference in the world of wine. This Champagne House was created in 1743 and was appreciated by Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. It is also to him that we attribute the invention of the tradition of slashing bottles of Moët champagne in celebration of victories.

Savor the refined aromas of Moët et Chandon champagne

Innovation is at the heart of Moët & Chandon's history. Since its creation, this House has always sought to surprise and offer exclusive and personalized editions of its champagnes. The success of Moët & Chandon lies in its singular style, characterized by a bright fruitiness, a savory palate and an elegant maturity, which is the result of a slow and gradual progression from the vineyard to the cellar.

The Moët & Chandon vineyard covers 1,150 hectares of rich limestone soil, 50% of which are classified as Grands Crus and 25% Premier Crus. This House has privileged access to a large number of crus thanks to the distribution of its vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs, the Marne Valley, Sézanne and Aube. Indeed, Moët & Chandon has access to 75% of the Champagne vineyard, i.e. 234 of the 319 Champagne crus, but also to 100% of the 17 Grands Crus and 70% of the 44 Premiers Crus.

The world famous Champagne House, Moët & Chandon

Moët & Chandon's know-how is based on an ancestral family tradition, but also on an approach that respects the environment. Sustainable viticulture is at the heart of the philosophy of this House, which is committed to respecting the environment and preserving the biodiversity of its vineyards.

Finally, Moët & Chandon also cultivates a strong brand image, recognizable among all by its emblematic logo, representing a star and a crossed sword.
