All the best wine houses have notable histories which stretch back through time with colourful history. The house of Perrier-Jouet is no different. Founded in 1811, their Grand Brut bottle ranks among the most renowned in the World. The Grand Brut continues the theme of style, with its Art Nouveau inspired bottle, decorated with anemones, a signature to it all. Added to this is the rose-enamel and the gold rim – details which have long been associated with Perrier-Jouët's identity.
Pinot Meunier makes up the proportion of this Champagne. Elegant and tastefully refined, this Grand Brut possesses consistent quality, finesse and incredible length.
Aesthetically pleasing, the Perrier-Jouet is a stunner with a lovely bright yellow gold colour. Persistent bubbles light it up, and the nose expresses many favourable qualities, including acacia, hawthorn, pear, grapefruit, white peach and even that unmistakeable aroma of cut grass.
On the palate Grand Brut Perrier-Jouet is balanced, round and bright. Fruity aromas of pineapple and apple make it refreshing, and citrus fruits like grapefruit and mandarin offer welcome diversity.
The final finish pleases with brioche, making this a Champagne that is both familiar and different enough to be dynamic and exciting.
