Since the early 19th Century, this house have been impressing champagne lovers all over the world, and that should come as little surprise. Like all top-end bottles that the firm produce, this one is an assembly of colour and character that stands on its own with 80% Pinot Black. It is this pure and classically uncomplicated approach which combines to form a simple, non-vintage brut which presents a charming character at every turn.
How do you tell the Bollinger Special Cuvee from the others ? Simple: its pale golden colour, luxurious and decadent, is home to fine bubbles and a generous nose comprising of a slew of wonderful aromatic notes – among them, apple, hazelnut, citrus & toast, brioche and even ripe apricot & apple. Vinous in its taste, the Chardonnay adds a refreshing finesse.
Not to be out-done, the Pinot Noir presents a roundness of body, and all of this intertwines in the final stages to create a fruity and eclectic flourish that defines the very meaning of a long and pleasant finish.
