Description

Magnum Champagne Blanc de Blancs Delamotte Grand Cru

Made exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay from the terroirs of Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, this Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Magnum reflects the pure, mineral expression of the Côte des Blancs. The magnum format amplifies the finesse, balance and complexity obtained after prolonged ageing.

Technical specifications

  • Format: Magnum 1.5 L
  • Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru (Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger)
  • Ageing: 4-5 years on lees (NV)
  • Vinification: stainless steel vats, 7 g/L dosage, max 10% reserve wines

Tasting profile

  • Colour: pale yellow, fine, elegant bubbles
  • Nose: white fruit (apple, pear), citrus fruit, pastries (fresh bread, brioche), honey, subtle vanilla.
  • Palate: full and silky, delicate bubbles, notes of pastry and candied citrus fruit, finish marked by salty minerality and tension.

Advantages and strengths

  • Exceptional minerality due to the limestone terroirs of the Côte des Blancs.
  • A magnum format to ensure harmonious maturation and intensified aromas.
  • Produced by the historic house, founded in 1760, today a pillar of fine, elegant Champagnes.

Tasting and serving advice

Ideally stored between 10°C and 14°C, this magnum can be enjoyed straight away and will evolve favourably over several years thanks to its format. It should be served at 9-10°C to bring out its freshness and tension.
