A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, this Premier Cru champagne is vinified without malolactic fermentation and aged in oak foudres. It reveals aromas of ripe yellow fruit, white flowers and biscuity notes, offering a silky texture and a persistent finish.
Champagne Vilmart Grande Réserve Premier Cru is a signature cuvée from the family-owned house in Rilly-la-Montagne, in the Montagne de Reims region. This wine testifies to the expertise and know-how of Vilmart & Cie, an independent winegrower for five generations, renowned for its precise vinifications and meticulous work in oak barrels.
A precise blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, this cuvée reflects the perfect balance between power and finesse. The grapes come exclusively from Premier Cru parcels and are grown without chemical weedkillers. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are carried out in barrel, without filtration or fining, with a 10-month ageing period on lees, giving the wine a silky texture and remarkable complexity.
Intense golden yellow with luminous reflections, brilliant with fine, regular bubbles.
Elegant and complex, revealing floral notes (lime blossom, hawthorn), ripe citrus fruit, white-fleshed fruit and a subtle hint of spice. The woody structure remains perfectly integrated.
Structured, dynamic and fresh on the palate, with good volume and a saline, persistent finish. The wood ageing adds substance without masking the fruit.
Champagne Vilmart Grande Réserve Premier Cru is ideal with refined starters such as scallop carpaccio or sea bream tartar, as well as with creamy poultry or soft cheeses. Serve between 8 and 10°C to fully appreciate its aromatic richness.
This cuvée perfectly illustrates the uniqueness of the Vilmart style: controlled barrel vinification, integrated farming and deep respect for the terroir. This wine is a choice alternative to the big houses, favoring the personality of a winemaker's champagne.
This Champagne can be enjoyed now or cellared for 4 to 6 years, in good temperature and humidity conditions, to develop more evolved notes.
