Description

Champagne De Venoge Grand Vin des Princes 2014 – Blanc de Blancs

Champagne De Venoge Grand Vin des Princes 2014 is an exceptional vintage, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in Premier and Grand Cru vineyards (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Trépail, Vertus). Vintage 2014, this blanc de blancs champagne is part of the prestigious tradition of Maison De Venoge, founded in 1837.

Technical characteristics

  • Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay (Premier and Grand Cru vineyards).
  • Vintage: 2014.
  • Vinification: fermentation on lees, malolactic fermentation completed, Brut dosage (6–12 g/L).
  • Packaging: carafe bottle, a tribute to the decanters used by the aristocracy since 1961.

Sensory profile

The golden yellow colour has a sustained brilliance. The nose reveals notes of brioche, cooked fruit and buttery touches, mixed with an elegant salty nuance. On the palate, the attack is clean, carried by precise acidity and fine mousse. The texture is balanced between tension and amplitude, with a beautiful, slightly chalky length.

Advantages & characteristics

  • Saline tension: typical of the great Chardonnay terroirs, with a saline finish.
  • Fine, persistent bubbles: silky texture underscored by elegant mousse.
  • Balanced structure: balance between acidity, pastry aromas and minerality.
  • Ageing potential: ready to enjoy now, will evolve favourably until 2040.
