Champagne Drappier Charles de Gaulle is an emblematic cuvée from the House of Drappier, conceived as a genuine tribute to General de Gaulle, a great wine-lover since the 1960s. Composed of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, this biodynamic champagne offers an exceptional aromatic experience.

Blending & Vinification

• Blend: 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, traditional vinification with brut dosage (~7 g/L).
• Aging: prolonged aging on laths.
• Terroir: vineyard located in Urville (Aube), combining clay-limestone soil and sustainable viticulture.

Sensory profile

On the nose, fresh citrus fruit (lemon, green apple), enhanced byalmond, nutmeg and a light brioche background. After airing, a hint of gingerbread and viennoiserie appears.

On the palate, the mousse is airy, the texture ample and refined. The attack reveals well-balanced ripe fruit, followed by dense cookie aromas and finely candied notes.

Serving suggestions

Ideally served between 10°C and 12°C. This gourmet champagne is an elegant accompaniment to fine fish, poultry in sauce and soft cheeses. It can also be aged for up to 15-20 years, revealing toasty, honeyed aromas.
