Discover Bollinger Champagne

Frankly, what industry mainstays Bollinger don't know about Champagne is not worth investigating. With a rich history rooted way back in 1585, the very beginnings of Bollinger Champagne are linked strongly to the Hennequin family, who had long since owned the land where this House would call its home.

Moving to the Champagne Region shortly before his twentieth birthday, Jaques Joseph Placide Bollinger gained valuable experience working in a local Champagne House. Born in 1803, this main was full of passion for our beloved drink and soon went on to form his very own venture. With Hennequin de Villemont and Paul Levieux Renaudin by his side, the three went into business together, and this was the start of something quite special.

Champagne Bollinger: excellence and elegance

Since its founding in 1829, Maison Bollinger has embodied excellence and elegance in the creation of champagnes of rare quality. At the heart of its identity lies a unique style, shaped by a particular affinity for Pinot Noir, unparalleled know-how and an exceptional vineyard. Bollinger wines are the fruit of a tradition meticulously passed down from generation to generation, expressing with power and refinement the most subtle aromas of fruit.

A Family Heritage and a Sharing of Strong Emotions

Founded by the Bollinger family, this renowned house perpetuates a wine heritage based on strong emotions shared between wine enthusiasts. Madame Bollinger's legacy and visionary spirit continue to breathe legendary vitality into this prestigious brand, embodying excellence and passion in every bottle.

The Foundations of the Bollinger Style

Pinot Noir: The Essence of the Bollinger Identity

At the heart of Bollinger's taste identity, Pinot Noir proves to be the undisputed pillar. Representing more than 60% of the house's vineyard, this demanding grape variety brings incomparable finesse to the wines. Its predominant presence in blends gives Bollinger champagnes a unique power, body and vinosity, revealing all the finesse of its bouquet.

The Art of Time: Rewarded Patience

At Bollinger, time is a precious ally. The wines benefit from a maturation period on lees two to three times longer than the standards of the Champagne appellation. This meticulous attention allows the aromas to develop delicately, giving the bubbles a velvety texture and exceptional complexity. Patience is a luxury that the House grants itself, always favoring quality over quantity.
The Exceptional Vineyard of Bollinger

An Exceptional Terroir, Authentic Know-How

Bollinger cultivates its vines with passion on 179 hectares, mainly composed of Grands and Premiers Crus, spread over seven distinct vineyards. Growing its own grapes gives the house total control of the production process, from the vine to the bottle. Two plots, Clos Saint-Jacques and Chaudes Terres in Aÿ, are home to free-standing vines preserved using ancestral methods, giving rise to rare vintages such as Vieilles Vignes Françaises.

Commitment to Quality and Tradition

Bollinger continues a legacy of quality and commitment to tradition, particularly through winemaking and the rigorous selection of grapes. This artisanal approach gives Bollinger champagnes authenticity and consistency in quality, making each bottle a true symbol of excellence.
