The champagne Grand vintage Brut 2012 from Gosset is a blended champagne made from 67% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant, Mesnil sur Oger, Trepail, Villers-Marmery, Ambonnay and Cumières and 33% Pinot Noir from Verzy, Mailly, Ambonnay and Ay-Champagne.
Vinification and traditional aging on lees avoiding any premature oxidation. Malolactic fermentation carefully avoided in order to retain the naturally fruity aroma of the wines and ensure perfect conservation.
Champagne tasting :
To the eye, a sparkling, clear and limpid color.
On the nose, fresh and expressive, combining an assortment of aromas of white-fleshed fruits such as pear, peach which evolves on grapefruit or even anise and liquorice.
On the palate, the attack is frank with good tension. The very fine and fleshy palate retains an extraordinary lightness throughout the tasting with aromas of small stone fruits such as plum, plum and especially pear followed by citrus aromas such as orange and pink grapefruit. Very good length in the mouth with a salty side at the end.
Gosset Grand vintage Brut 2012 champagne is an ideal wine as an aperitif. It will also go perfectly with fish such as sea bass, ray, sole, hake, lean, why not, with a citrus sauce. The combination also works with sushi or makis and in general with all grilled white-fleshed fish, for example accompanied by green asparagus or spinach.
