Champagne de la Montagne de Reims: an exceptional terroir
The Montagne de Reims, located between the Marne and Vesle rivers, is a vast wooded plateau stretching some 30 km from east to west and 6 to 10 km from north to south. Its limestone slopes and steep valleys are home to renowned wine-producing villages such as Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzenay and Verzy. This terroir is particularly well-suited to Pinot Noir, which gives champagnes strength and character. The chalky soils, combined with a favorable climate, enable optimum ripening of the grapes, resulting in wines of great finesse and remarkable aromatic complexity.
Among the region's emblematic cuvées, Baron Dauvergne Cuvée Œil De Perdrix, made exclusively from Pinot Noir, stands out for its fruity aromas and slightly pink color. Cuvée Abelé 1757 Brut offers a harmonious balance of freshness and complexity, with notes of citrus and dried fruit. As for Deutz Brut Classic, with its finesse and structure, revealing aromas of white flowers and brioche. Each cuvée reflects the excellence of the Montagne de Reims terroir and the expertise of the champagne houses.
