Champagne Taittinger, the perfect expression of the blend of grape varieties
Maison Taittinger has a history rich in tradition and excellence. Founded in 1734 by Jacques Fourneaux, the Champagne wine trading house has worked with the great Benedictine abbeys, owners of the most beautiful Champagne vineyards. For nearly a century, the Taittinger family has pursued the permanent quest for excellence in the production of champagne.
After the First World War, the Taittinger house moved into the Hôtel des Comtes de Champagne, a 13th century residence located rue du Tambour in Reims. It is in this historic place that the production of Taittinger champagne takes on a new dimension. Today, the house is proud of its 288 hectares of vineyards certified High Environmental Value, which makes it the third largest vineyard in Champagne.
Taittinger cuvées exceptional champagne bottles for lovers of bubbles
The Taittinger estate extends over the renowned terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, the Côte des Bar, the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims. The vineyard is harmoniously spread over 37 different crus, with a plantation of 37% Chardonnay, 48% Pinot Noir and 15% Meunier. This complementarity of grape varieties gives Taittinger champagne a unique style and quality.
The Taittinger house is recognized for the quality of its champagnes, produced according to strict traditional methods. The house produces emblematic cuvées such as the Comtes de Champagne, the prestige cuvée Blanc de Blancs, or the Cuvée Prestige brut. All these champagnes are the fruit of know-how transmitted from generation to generation, and testify to the passion of the Taittinger winegrowers for their profession.

The Taittinger house is also very involved in preserving the architectural heritage of Reims, and in supporting culture and contemporary art. Maison Taittinger is thus much more than a simple champagne producer, but truly an institution committed and concerned with the preservation of its heritage and its environment.
